Every now and again, I see something that sums up the hypocrisy running rampant in America.

Go Team Venture!

Sun Jul 16 22:19:37 EDT 2006

New Venture Brothers episode on tonight.  Can't quite explain why I like this cartoon.  I think because they have everything that the frosted side of me likes...or at least they allude to it.  Battling crocodiles, ghost pirates, snake men.  Stuff that remind me of comics and cartoons when I was a kid.  But the show is really about the dynamics of family, and generally deals with "normal life" in a funny, quirky way.  The short-comings and failures of someone like Dr. Venture who was told he was a genius his whole life, only to find that he does not live up to his own potential.  The man that every man wants to be, Brock Sampson.  The naivette of the Venture Brothers themselves.

Check it out sometime if you have not already.

Hello and welcome to my little site on the internets.  I was up late last night (4:30am) finishing up this software.  It's a new take on my Fortibus CMS product.  The biggest challenge was making the Flickr-style photo gallery tool.  Let me tell you a bit about that.  Basically, all I need to do is upload my images (using either the browser based tool or FTP), and the server creates thumbnails and images of varying sizes.  This is nice because it means people don't have to download a 4 meg picture to view unless they want the original resolution.  And, everything is automatically organized and thumbnailed for me.

What else is new?  Bryan and I continued work on our poker tables.  Which was sort of bust, because we needed a jig saw.  Rather than buying one (we had run back and forth to home depot a dozen times already), we decided to call it quits.

Oh, and I hate Cold Stone.  More on that in my next blog post.
